A Trump Of An Election

Donald Trump won the election against sitting Vice President, Kamala Harris, in 2024.

I'm not revealing who I voted for, only that I didn't vote for one of them…but I did vote for the other one.

Regardless, love or hate Trump, it was one hell of a campaign and a remarkable win, especially considering he survived…

  • 4 Criminal Indictments, totaling 97 felony counts

  • Numerous civil lawsuits alleged from fraud to sexual assault

  • Current court judgements amassing to $500 million or more

  • Accusations of starting an insurrection on January 6th of 2021

  • 2 Assassination attempts, one of which nicked his ear and killed a man behind him

  • A disastrous debate against Kamala Harris

  • And a 24/7 barrage of negative coverage from most long standing media outlets

He basically pulled a Neo from the Matrix and bullet-time-dodged all of it, winning the Electoral College AND the Popular Vote, including a sweep in both the House and Senate.

No wonder the other side is a little pissed.

Analysts says that Trump's 2024 win is similar to Grover Cleveland’s re-election in 1892…except one is a billionaire.

Then again, Cleveland wasn't exactly in the poor house. When alive, he was estimated to have a modern net worth of just under $30 Million. Clearly a "people's man".

Did you know Kamala Harris' net worth with her husband, Doug Emhoff, is roughly $8 Million? Now THAT's a woman / man / couple of the people! Not like that high and mighty Grover Cleveland.

Word salad, anyone?

Pillow Screams

Few things are as moving than an unhappy voter's pleas muffled through primal screams, thrashing limbs, pervasive tears, fearful whimpers, and utter bewilderment—culminating in a desperate death wish to those who voted differently.

And I quote, "I hate you all and hope you fucking die." Who doesn’t want to vote now?

Imagine the reaction if you brought home the vegetarian dish with kombucha instead of the vegan one with the matcha latte. I guess we’re all murderers. Be sure to Ignore their leather boots.

According to several unnamed sources, an estimated 7,219,633 people had an explosive emotional breakdown because of the election. Approximately 1,430,000 marriages filed for divorce the day after, and no fewer than 666,000 babies were aborted in protest.

None of that is true, obviously, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it on MSNBC and in an Ann Selzer poll.

The truth is, enough people did have a meltdown to equal a lot. Definitely more than two.  Some filed for divorce and a few had abortions, but I doubt it was in reaction to the election.

Of course, I've been wrong before.

Incoming Dictator and Chief

According to The NY Times, America makes a perilous choice. Donald Trump is a natural dictator, as per the Washington Times. It’s not like either publication has ever had to retract a news story.

This aforementioned "madman" has gone on record articulating the following positions.

  • Freedom of Expression and Media: While he has criticized media outlets and announced plans for lawsuits against certain organizations, Trump has also ceased attacks on the media and upholds press freedoms.

  • Economic Freedom: Trump has outlined plans to implement tariffs on foreign goods, aiming to stimulate U.S. economic growth and protect domestic industries.

  • Freedom of Speech on Social Media: Openly expressed a favorable view towards platforms like TikTok, acknowledging their role in political discourse and outreach, especially among younger demographics.

Anyone else hiding under their bed?

Frantic Financial Frenzy

Donald Trumps trifecta win has already affected the world of finance.

  • Stock Market Surge: U.S. stock markets have reached record highs, with strong gains in sectors such as financials, oil and gas, and industrials.

  • Increase in Mergers and Acquisitions: Over $35 billion in mergers and acquisitions were announced on a single day., which clearly shows renewed confidence among executives, anticipating a more business-friendly environment.

  • Small Business Optimism: U.S. small business confidence has reached its highest level in nearly 3.5 years. The National Federation of Independent Business reported a significant increase in its Small Business Optimism Index.

  • Cryptocurrency Market Growth: The digital coin world has responded very favorably to the election, with the market value surpassing $3 Trillion

Clearly people are running in terror, but their bulging wallets are slowing them down.

Did You Know Democracy Died?

You didn't? Neither did I, but it did…apparently.

I guess it didn’t feel well. Hope it wasn't admitted into the US HealthCare System.

President Joe Biden said, Trump is "determined to destroy American democracy" and will seek "revenge" and "retribution." Hilary Clinton commented that  if Trump were elected in 2024, he "will wreck our democracy," likening his supporters to a "cult."

If there was only an experiential way to be assured this Trump fella won't destroy our nation's democracy. Surely there has to be something. Maybe a thing in the past that could predict his future behavior. Perhaps a record of some kind, like a previous job.

Wait. Who was president in 2016?

Man. Dictators sure have changed.
